Meet the Instructor
Ian, the head trainer at Correct Canine, has been around dog training his entire life—it’s practically second nature to him. Growing up in a family where working with dogs was the norm, Ian started helping out with training as soon as he could walk. From family pets to working dogs in law enforcement across the U.S., Ian learned firsthand how to handle all kinds of dogs and situations.
Eventually specializing in decoying and competing in IGP (formerly Schutzhund), one of the most challenging dog sports out there. He’s competed at both regional and national levels, but his real fulfillment comes from helping dogs and their owners tackle everyday challenges.
Ian has worked with thousands of dogs, solving issues like leash pulling, jumping, and even serious aggression. His approach is all about understanding each dog’s personality and needs, then creating a plan that works for them and their family.
